Guests are asked for a voluntary donation of $30 per room per night, but no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. The majority of our guests have fixed incomes and limited resources and cannot afford extended stay in Bay Area hotels. In addition to the financial impact of the trip, interruption of income, and their loved one’s medical expenses, guests are coping with the painful news that their loved one is seriously ill or facing the end of their life.
